The San Francisco 49ers sign Damon Huard
The 49ers have signed 35-year old QB Damon Huard. Huard will replace J.T. O’Sullivan as the backup to Shaun Hill in 2009. Huard played in 5 games for the Chiefs last season and he completed 50 of 81 passes (61.7%) for 477 yards with 2 TD passes and 4 interceptions (65.7 QB Rating). He also carried the football 4 times for 13 yards (3.3 ypc) last season. Huard has now played in 64 games in his NFL career and he has completed 574 of 946 passes (60.7%) for 6,303 yards with 33 TD passes and 26 interceptions (80.6 QB Rating). He also has carried the ball 52 times for 148 yards (2.8 ypc) in his NFL career.
