The San Francisco 49ers finally woke up last week and got the ball to the best playmakers
The 49ers need to keep going with the basics and hand the ball off to Frank Gore and throw it to TE Vernon Davis. Frank Gore sets the tone for the 49ers as he has 159 carries for 655 yards (4.1 ypc) with 5 TD carries and he also has caught 33 passes for 261 yards (7.9 avg). TE Vernon Davis has been a little bit injury prone in his NFL career but when he plays he’s a good one. Davis has caught 36 passes for 352 yards (9.8 avg) with 2 TD grabs. Davis reminds me a bit of Kellen Winslow of the Browns who missed most of his first two seasons and is now one of the best TEs in the NFL. The 49ers hope that Davis will be as good as Winslow as a TE is the QBs best friend.
