Minnesota Vikings 27, San Francisco 49ers 7

The 49ers fell behind 27-0 at the half and they never mounted a challenge to the Vikings as they fell to 3-10 on the season.  Trent Dilfer started the game and he completed 7 of 19 passes for 45 yards with a pickoff before leaving the game with a concussion.  Shaun Hill made his NFL debut in replacing Dilfer and he completed 22 of 28 passes for 180 yards with 1 TD pass and 1 interception.  Frank Gore carried the football 16 times for 68 yards (4.3 ypc) and he also caught 8 passes for 49 yards (6.1 avg).  But, Gore also lost two fumbles which hurt quite a bit.  TE Delanie Walker led the way in the passing game for the 49ers with 6 catches for 65 yards (10.9 avg).  Vernon Davis pitched in with 5 catches for 42 yards (8.4 avg).  The 49ers finished up with 73 yards rushing on 20 carries (3.7 ypc) and they also completed 29 of 47 passes for 211 yards.

The Niners defense was led by rookie linebacker Patrick Willis who had 8 tackles.  The Vikings finished up with 117 yards rushing on 31 carries (3.8 ypc) and they also completed 16 of 25 passes for 163 yards.
